応募資格 (Qualifications) |
次の1~6のいずれの資格をも満たす者
- Native speaker of English as the first language, and able to communicate in Japanese

Our university seeks candidates who have excellent teaching qualifications and teaching experiences; understand our educational objectives; are willing to be actively involved in the education of students and university administrative duties.

- Master of Arts in TESOL, English Education, or other related field
- Sufficient proficiency in the Japanese language to be able to work at UMDS (N2 level on the JLPT test)
- Teaching experience at the university level

Must be able to live in or near Kobe City after employment
※Teaching experience at secondary school level and Information Technology skills are desirable.

Reflect on prior teaching experiences and write about what you have accomplished in your past teaching career. And then, describe how you plan to improve your teaching in the future. The essay should provide specific examples of prior experiences and a detailed description of the planned improvements. (about 1,000 words in English)
- Your teaching philosophy at UMDS and teaching goal (A4 size paper, one page about 600 words, Use designated form: Form②) 1 copy

List of Academic Achievements (Use designated form: Form④)
Please give the information on your publications, presentations at academic conferences, and/or meetings in detail. Submit three original copies or copies of your academic papers, textbooks, etc., 3 copies each (applicable only to those who passed the screening process)
※Please put the circle on the number of each publication submitted in the list.
- Names and contact information of two references (phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and each reference’s relationship to the applicant)(Use designated form: Form⑤)
- Copy of the highest degree attained, 1 copy
- Copy of the certificate to prove your proficiency in Japanese (if any)
- About (1) Curriculum Vitae, you are required to submit the documents both in Japanese and English. About the other materials (2)~(6) above, you may write either in English or Japanese. When you write in English, use the English forms here, and when you write in Japanese, use the Japanese forms in the Japanese version of the announcement.

選考内容 結果通知方法 (Selection Procedure and Notification of Result) |
After document screening, shortlisted applicants will be expected to submit academic achievements as indicated in (5). You will also be expected to have an interview (in English and Japanese) and give a demonstration class (in English). After a couple of selection processes, a final candidate will be selected.
※In the selection process, you may be asked to submit additional documents. Travel expenses incurred by interviewees will not be reimbursed.
【Notification of Result】
Selection result will be sent to the applicants by postal mail.
